Hart House, University of Toronto

Sub-brand for Hart House/UofT for Ambassador recognition during orientation week and events. The branding is something welcoming (“Hi”), identifiable, and spoke to the essence of what the ambassador role stands for. I utilized the two Hs in Hart House, and flipped one onto its side to create the signature emblem of “HI” from “HH”. I also added the four key pillars of Hart House’s programming (Arts, Dialogue, Wellness, Community) above in a typographical treatment to create the cubic emblem.

This sub-brand was used on various swag items (totes) and the ambassador t-shirts. I wanted to create enhance the visitor experience and have the ambassadors embody the idea of approachability and the inclusive, welcoming, hospitable and diverse nature that Hart House prides itself on having as its key foundation.
