Donor recognition event

Emily Carr University of Art and Design

This was the design for a large-scale donor event, hosted by Emily Carr University’s Advancement department. It was an exclusive reception in recognition of their donors and supporters. The theme was to coincide with the new rooftop garden at the university which was in part made possible by donations.

For the design I wanted to incorporate the aspect of the garden into the event and collateral design. The pink seedlings relate to the Emily Cares campaign, and metaphorically represents the donations and how they made this possibility grow. I worked with the events team on the table gifts, which were small seed bombs packaged in pink canvas pouches, that the guests could take away and plant in their gardens. I used a metallic grey and an offset pink to elevate the print materials for this design, while digitally trying to recreate the same look and feel for social and email marketing for the event.

This elegant evening included a private viewing of The Show featuring original and inspired works by the graduating class of 2019, where guests could engage in special presentations, have an opportunity to meet student award recipients, live portrait sessions and more.
