Vancouver Art Gallery

Poster and event branding for the Vancouver Art Gallery’s children’s program Family FUSE Weekend. This was inspired by contemporary children’s design in the current design landscape, instagram feeds, and accessible to children and adults from an aesthetic value stand point. Also integral was the coupling of the relation to art and the principle mandate of the Gallery, while still being semi-commercial, yet conceptual to meet the style and ideology of the event.

I used a stylistic language with the geometric landscapes to bring continuity to the promotional graphics and visuals released for these events triannually to the public, so that it becomes recognizable and signifies children and the Gallery's involvement in family programming. Each event branding would have its own unique colour scheme while visually implementing the 3d graphics and landscape with a figure in black and white, to symbolize being brought to life when immersed in the world of art, learning, family and joy which was the focus event.

FEATURED IN 2018 FRENCH DESIGN ANNUAL

My design for the children’s programming Family FUSE Weekend, run by the Vancouver Art Gallery, was featured in the 2018 Design Annual by Favourite Design which is based in France. This is the 6th book in this series and I was quite honored for the recognition and to make the cut. It also enabled me to showcase my work and make it available to a larger international audience.
