FUSE is the Vancouver Art Gallery’s signature after-hours event, transforming the space into a vibrant hub for art, music, and live performance. During my tenure as Creative Lead for the Gallery, I reimagined the branding and wordmark for the series and developed distinctive, high-impact designs for each event, tailored to its theme. These themes were closely tied to current exhibitions and cultural moments—ranging from shows featuring artists such as Takashi Murakami and Andreas Gursky to milestone events like Canada’s 150th anniversary and collaborations with festivals including ISEA, Push Festival and the Indian Summer Festival.

The FUSE visual design was an opportunity to exercise creative leadership and art direction through a more conceptual design approach. It allowed me the freedom to develop a dynamic body of work that reflected the spirit of the exhibitions on view, while creating distinct visual concepts that captured the essence of each event.
